Location
Old Mill Cottage is situated between Lower Ufford and Melton and is believed to date from 1830 when it was built in the grounds of the Mill to provide accommodation for employees. Melton is a popular village with a well supported primary school, large playing field with tennis courts and children’s play equipment, The Coach and Horses public house, small petrol station and Spar convenience store.
Close by is the well known town of Woodbridge (two miles) which is nestled on the banks of the River Deben and offers excellent facilities including shops, schools, restaurant, hotels, a cinema and swimming pool. There are many other desirable towns and villages nearby including Aldeburgh (seventeen miles), Bawdsey (nine miles) and Framlingham (eleven miles).
